The Woodbury Republican Town Committee is THE local
entity responsible for selecting, endorsing, promoting, and seating
Republican candidates for municipal offices.
Toward that end, the Committee organizes fund raising events throughout the
year to ensure adequate funding to actively promote their slate. Here
volunteers, among them Barbara Perkinson (far left), the 2009 Republican
Selectman candidate, finish preparations for the March 29 Quiche Brunch.

With a focus on community, the RTC takes advantage of
every opportunity to participate in activities that promote and better our
Town. Whether it's picking-up roadside trash during the spring
"Adopt-A-Road" campaign or celebrating Woodbury's 350th Birthday, your Town
Committee is there to provide its support...

Regardless of the every-day role the Woodbury Republican
Town Committee plays in promoting volunteerism and community participation,
its most important responsibility is to ensure quality, qualified candidates
are available to fill positions on the Town's Boards and Commissions.

2009 First Selectman Jerry Stomski
One example, among many, is the 2009 Republican
First Selectman, Jerry Stomski. Jerry exemplifies the type of leader we
cultivate in Woodbury. As a local businessman, active on Town Commissions
for nearly 20 years, Jerry is a natural selection from a pool of many
talented people.
The Candidate Recruitment Committee (the group charged
with candidate selection) bears responsibility for choosing a candidate from
that pool. Confirming the CRC's choice, 68th District Representative Sean
Williams, left, and State Senator Rob Kane, right, demonstrate their support
at the 350th celebration.

Candidate recruitment,
fund-raisers, community events, these are just some of the ways the Woodbury
Republican Town Committee participates in the governance of our Town. The
Committee also defines local Republican Principles,
found here.
They encourage potential voters to register so their voices can be heard.
They provide campaign workers to local, state, and federal candidates.
Renewed concern about the future
of their Republic has prompted many people to take action. This is an
opportune time to attend a Committee meeting and MAKE YOUR VOICE heard at a
grass-roots level, right here in YOUR town. A schedule of upcoming meetings
is posted here.
